Percentage

The percentage rating acts as an overall rating for the park. It takes into account minimum criteria as well as bonus amenities. 

Points

Each criterion that a playground has earns one point. It is possible to earn half of a point for amenities that were there, but not to our standards. For a playground that has an amenity that isn't on our criteria list but that we think is a good addition, it earns a bonus point. 

Bonus Points: 

• Our minimum slide count for a playground is one. For every slide over one, the playground earns a bonus point. 

• If a playground's swing set amenity complies with our golden ratio of 6 regular swings : 4 baby swings it earns a bonus point. Any special swings earn a bonus point as well.

• A playground with a regular trash can will earn a point but a trash can with multiple compartments for recycling will earn a bonus point.

• Rare playground equipment (see-saw, merry-go-round, etc.)

• Other bonus points are possible.
